This thriving group holds regular coffee mornings for all and arranges outings for members.
Shelswell Garden Club
Meeting every second Tuesday of the month in Hethe Village Hall at 7.30pm.
There are outings, visits from speakers, lively discussions, an opportunity to swap handy tips – and interesting cuttings. Plants are for sale at some meetings too.
Meetings and outings are open to members and visitors, friends and relatives.

Shelswell History Festival
The Trustees and Members of the charity have agreed to the dissolution of the charity due to the low returns and shortage of volunteers to help in organising, setting up and running past events. All debts and other liabilities of the CIO have been settled.
One of the Trustees aims in holding festivals has been to raise money for the community, therefore the following distribution of cash assets was agreed:
• Shelswell Benefice Churches £1,122.72
• Bicester Food Bank £1,122.72
• Oxfordshire Mind £1,122.72
Assets from past years which were retained for the use of the charity in future events have been gifted to local village organisations.
We wish to thank everyone who voluntarily gave their service to the three history festivals held between 2017 and 2022.

Background
The Shelswell History Festival (SHF) charity was set up in 2017 to run a festival in the grounds of Shelswell Park (within the Hethe Parish boundary). The first festival was held in July of that year, was well attended and received considerable, positive, feedback. The second festival was held in 2019 on Hethe Playing Field.
OUR THIRD FESTIVAL WAS HELD ON SATURDAY 16 JULY 2022 WITH THE THEME “TRADE AND TRANSPORT ACROSS THE AGES” AND WE COLLABORATED WITH ART IN THE COUNTRYSIDE
