The display for Hethe in the local village history tent at the festival. The theme was “Trade and Transport across the ages”. Thank you to everyone who provided photos and to Pauline for welcoming everyone to the display. Lots of past and present Hethens took an interest in the display (some of which will be placed in the church).

The site for the festival is on Elms Farm alongside the A4421 in Newton Purcell MK18 4AY. Art in the Countryside is being held at the same time in the Newton Purcell School Room (and additionally on Sunday 17 July). There will also be displays in St Michael & All Angels Church in the village.
Activities include Saxon and Roman living history camps, vehicle displays (from cycles to Rolls Royce cars to tractors), music (including a pipe band), highland and Morris dance teams, craft displays and activities in the arena all free of charge, so you could be here from 10.00am to 6.00pm and not spend a penny! But if you wish you may buy refreshments (alcoholic and not), raffle tickets, something from one of the stalls, vintage clothes (including Biba and Lora Ashley), or take part in Aunt Sally, skittles or tug-of-war, or make a donation to our selected charities.
