Local affairs in Hethe are governed by the Parish Council of seven Councillors, elected every four years.
Full Council Meetings take place three times a year on a Tuesday, starting at 7.30pm in the Village Hall. A subcommittee meet as required to consider planning applications. Notices of meetings are posted on the village notice boards in addition to this web site.
Village residents are welcome to attend any of the council meetings and are encouraged to contribute views and ideas in an Open Forum.
An Annual Parish Meeting is normally held in April each year. In addition to a report by the Parish Council, reports are presented for village organisations and District and County Councils.
The Annual General Meeting of the Council takes place in May. At this meeting, the election takes place of Council posts, subcommittee members, the previous year’s accounts are approved, and other matters discussed at the discretion of the Chair.
