Thank you to everyone who attended this year’s remembrance service. A collection was take at the church which raised £110 for the Royal British Legion.
This year’s Remembrance Service will be held on Sunday 10th November, starting at 9.15am in St Edmund & St George Church and then proceeding to the War Memorial where a wreath will be laid courtesy of the Parish Council.
Remembrance Sunday is a national opportunity to remember the service and sacrifice of all those who have defended our freedoms and protected our way of life.
Many people have traditionally chosen to meet at Hethe War Memorial where the names of those who gave their lives during WW1 and WW2 will be read and two minutes silence observed.
A collection taken during the service in the church will be donated to the Royal British Legion.
Please move any vehicles from in front of the War Memorial by 0930am.
