The Parish Council have applied for a reduction in the speed limit for the whole village because:
- The village is small which means those passing through (rather than visiting) often exceed the 30mph speed limit by some margin.
- As we are close to the M40, Brackley, the A43, Bicester and the A4421 and A421, we are often used as a cut through when road closures and accidents reroute traffic.
- The roads are narrow and wind through the village creating the risk of accidents and bottlenecks.
- The regular movement of farm vehicles from the two working farms in the centre of the village increase the risk of accidents.
