Thames Valley Police have seen a recent rise in Catalytic converter thefts around the Bicester area. Four have happened within the last month. There does not appear to be a pattern to the offence locations however the suspects are targeting residential driveways and concealed parking areas.
Please find attached a crime prevention advice notice regarding Catalytic Converters for sharing amongst the community where possible.
We will also be running an article in the Garth Gazette and a social media campaign combined with High visibility patrols.
Catalytic converters (CATs) have been fitted in the exhaust of the majority of petrol cars manufactured since 1992 and diesel cars since 2001.
