A Musical Revue by StAges – a great success!

2nd December 2019 by Parish News

Many thanks to Marak for organising the 2019 concerts in St Edmund & St George Church.  Also…..
Nicky for the alterations to costumes
Becks for helping with the refreshments and cleaning
Sarah for doing the ladies hair
Andrea for helping
Emily for helping back stage with costumes
Alice for use of the church for rehearsals and the concerts
Sandra and Mike for meeting and greeting at the concerts
Majestic for donating some of the wine
The cast – Natasha, Clare, Eleanor, Ben, Joy, Celia, Daniel and Steve for without their total dedication there would have been no show

StAges performed many songs from the musicals with passion, in their own style and in a magical setting – yes the pictures were all taken on the night in the church!

Comments::

Flora wrote: The church was transformed into an intimate stage setting, be-decked with yuletide decorations for the concerts on Friday 30th November and Saturday & Sunday 1st & 2nd December, and the audience was treated to a smorgasbord of songs from the shows. Wonderful refreshments during the interval and the comfort of luxurious portaloos added to the sense of occasion. The proceeds from these concerts will go to St Edmund & St George Church. Huge thanks go to Marak and Steve for organising the event, and to all those, including the Muddy Duck, who lent their support. And again to Marak and the members of the StAges group who have shown such commitment in rehearsing for the big nights.

“My friends and I certainly enjoyed the show. It’s wonderful that so much money has been raised for the church. Many thanks to Marak and Steve and the singers. A great show. Helen Wood.”

All proceeds are going to St Edmund & St George Church.
