We are pleased to announce that we have £1,045 to donate to each of this year’s chosen charities. This is thanks to our patrons, those who gave donations and fund raising by the team before this year’s festival, which combined to cover our expenses. The distribution of income is in accordance with our charity objectives and the agreement of the Festival Trustees. Part of this income will be retained for a future festival and the balance donated to the following charities:
Restore Mental Health Charity
Thames Valley Air Ambulance
Shelswell Benefice Churches
Thank you to everyone who helped at the festival and who came along to enjoy the activities. We welcome comments on all aspects of the event – a response form and more pictures are available here.
Prizes from the Grand Raffle have now been distributed.
This year’s festival was held on Hethe Recreation Ground by kind permission of Hethe Parish Council and Hethe Village Hall Committee. John Elkington kindly let us use the field next to the site for car parking.
The festival was partly funded through a grant from the National Lottery.
Viking, medieval and WW2 re-enactors, Brackley Morris, music from Bicester and Brackley, vintage cycles and vehicles and lots of children’s activities and stalls were all being booked for 2019……see our web site for up to date details.
