This year’s festival is moving down the road from Shelswell Park into Hethe village. Note the date – Saturday 13 July, 10.00am to 6.00pm.
By kind permission of Hethe Parish Council, Hethe Village Hall Committee and John Elkington we have a site which will better suit our requirements for this year.
In the village we will have the use of the village hall and playing field and a large area next to the site for car parking.
Book your place now for pre-festival activities
Several activities are being organised before the festival. These include talks on one families experience of the Second World War (in Hethe Village Hall on 11 May) and the history of Stowe House and gardens; a tour of Bicester Heritage; a patchwork workshop.
Places at all of these events will be limited, therefore early booking is advised! For further detail and how to book your place visit the festival web site.
We have been awarded a grant by the National Lottery for this year’s festival.
Viking, medieval and WW2 re-enactors, Brackley Morris, music from Bicester and Brackley, maypole dancing, vintage cycles and vehicles and lots of children’s activities and stalls are all being booked for 2019……see our web site for up to date details.
